SS18- All about Denim
What's that you say? Who even wears double denim anymore?!
This season, catwalk designers such as Calvin Klein, Kenzo, Max Mara, Tibi, Nina Ricci and many more, have shown us how we can wear not only double denim but, triple denim... Yes you heard right... this spring it's all about pairing your denim jeans and skirts with similar toned shirts and jackets, and denim dresses seem to be popular too, as seen at Fendi and Versace.
We think this will be a great hit with high street retailers generally, as denim is of course one of our every day staple items, so why not go all out this spring and try this ensemble yourself?
Below are our favourite denim looks from the SS18 catwalks
From left to right: Calvin Klein, Fendi, Kenzo, Max Mara, Mugler, Nina Ricci, Tibi, Tom Ford, Versus Versace, Zadig and Voltaire
As much as we all love our skinny jeans and they will forever remain one of the best selling shapes (in my opinion), the focus this season seems to be on the wider leg style and boyfriend jeans, and you'll notice if you've been in the stores recently that there is a lot of it around from straight leg, long flares, cropped flares, tapered boyfriend style.. they're all selling and fast! This early adoption has a lot to do with the impact of bloggers and influencers, who's beautiful images we see every morning on our journey to work, as we scroll through our feed on Instagram. As much as we love what they're wearing and how- their style of jeans or outfit combination might not necessarily suit us all, so here's a few of our favourites out there, for you to try.
The High Street Selection
I love the above for different reasons- they're all flares but will be worn in very different ways. Outfit one is the most perfect high street outfit that looks as if it's come straight off the runway- it's already put together for you, all you have to do now is add it to your cart. The second, myself and many of my clients have tried- they are a wonderfully comfortable and stylish pair of jeans that look great on almost every body shape and can be worn with both a heel and a flatter shoe. The third jeans are for a woman that wants to be super edgy/ trendy and can be dressed up or down depending on your personality/ style.
Now, the high street's offering is HUGE and we'd be here forever explaining what suits different individuals- so this is just to give you an idea of what's out there now. If you want a one to one session, please check out our contact page to find out where you can book an appointment with one of our stylists.
