Our Favourite Colour Combo Is Back & This Is How You Make It Work
This bold colour combination took us by surprise last year, the thought of mixing two VERY bright colours like red and pink were a no go for the majority of us, however, the 2017 catwalks showed us there are multiple ways we can wear this trend and as we have now got a little more comfortable seeing it on bloggers and celebrities, it’s one that YOU too can try out this Autumn/ Winter.
You can mix and match different tones of red and pink, although light pink with bright red shows to be the most popular mix this season (as shown by designers Tibi, Valentino and MSGM), you can also experiment with brighter electric tones as Marni has done this seaosn.
Catwalk styling isn’t however practical for every day wear, so we have found the best looks loved by celebs and bloggers, that you can also adapt into your Autumn/ Winter wardrobes.
Who can argue with Sarah Jessica Parker about style?! She looks fabulous in her pink skinny boot leg trousers, paired with a red blouse. This look is perfect for work, so ladies…. it’s time to put your blacks and greys away for a while and make space for something that will wow everyone in the office!
We Just adore Olivia Culpo’s style.. I mean how chic and elegant does this outfit look on her? If you’re a fan of a pencil skirt, choose a fitted red jumper to wear it with as she has done here and opt for a bright shoe for a complete colour clash outfit.
If you want to mix different tones of pink, try to keep the same tone in the base outfit, but add a lighter or darker layer on the top- this can be done with coats, jackets, scarves and shrugs.
If your style is a little more romantic, a big A-line or pleated skirt works perfectly with a fitted top and ankle strap heels; bright colours make more of an impact.
